[ANONYME] Ordonnance du Bureau des Finances de la Généralité de Paris, concernant la suppression des das saillies en pierre & en bois, pratiquées le long des maisons de la rue de Tournon. Du 22 janvier 1783.

Official decree, organising the road system in Paris, in particular that of the rue de Tournon, which seems to have been very congested at the time. In effect, the decree orders that: ‘all protrusions along the houses in the rue de Tournon, of whatever kind, & in particular stone or wooden benches, bollards, stalls & all sedentary, semi-sedentary or even mobile stalls, shall be removed & demolished… by the tenants & owners’ under the threat of a fine.
