Guillermin was a member of the general headquarters of the colonial army in the Dominican Republic. Dedicated to Count Decrès, then minister of the Marine, the author gives detailed accounts of the price of various foods during the revolution. The folding table gives prices for bread, meat, sugar, oil, etc. and indicates that "rats, although not traded as meat, were eagerly consumed when possible".
Some occasional foxing, some light wear to the binding.
