Waller I, 2668.

First edition, published posthumously, of the Works by Duverney, whose only publication during his lifetime was the famous Traité de l'organe de l'ouïe (Garrison-Morton, 1545). Following his death, his pupil and successor Senac arranged the manuscripts to be acquired by the Duke of Orleans and subsequently took care of publishing the works of his teacher. The famous Traité de l'organe de l'ouïe is also included, but contains additional material on the pathology of the ear. Fine copy.
